What locum rates are
They're the hourly rates each trust pays for locum shifts, for every grade from F1 to consultant, in core and unsocial hours. They come from published rate cards, Freedom of Information requests and members of the Doctor Devify community.
The leaderboard
The locum rates leaderboard ranks trusts from the highest paying down, so you can compare them side by side. You can narrow it down by grade, core or unsocial hours, specialty and region.
Why it's helpful
Rates differ from trust to trust, so you can see what a shift pays before you book it. Each hospital's rates are on its page on Ward on the Street.
And if you've done a locum shift, you can add your rate so the figures stay up to date.
