Dr Dev Gakhar is an NHS Resident Doctor building clinician-led infrastructure across UK healthcare communication, education, and digital engagement.


He is the founder of Doctor Devify, a platform reaching 61K+ followers and millions of views each year, where he translates NHS policy, workforce reform, and system change into clear, accessible insight for clinicians and the public. His work has been recognised at 10 Downing Street and through national government campaigns.

After entering the NHS, Dev saw the same problem repeat itself: Healthcare change was happening fast, but communication wasn’t keeping up. When clinicians, policymakers, and the public aren’t aligned, trust breaks down. Doctor Devify exists to close that gap.

Education & Training

Dev trained at Imperial College London (MBBS with Distinction; BSc in Management, First Class Honours) and later completed a Postgraduate Certificate in Medical Education with Distinction. He is the author of two books supporting medical education and early-career doctors, and serves as a Board Director at TheMedNex, connecting aspiring clinicians with mentors to co-design policy-relevant research

Dev holds an MBBS from Imperial College London (2017–2023), graduating with distinctions in Pathology and Clinical Sciences, and a BSc in Management from the Imperial Business School (First Class Honours). He completed his Foundation Training across Psychiatry, Orthopaedics, Gastroenterology, Cardiology, Respiratory, and Renal Medicine, and currently holds a Postgraduate Certificate in Clinical Education from the University of Leicester, achieved with distinction.

Dev partners with NHS and healthcare organisations to explain change clearly through short-form content. Through staff training, short-form strategy, and campaign support, he helps teams communicate complex updates in ways that build trust with patients and staff.
