Rota and payslip errors are still common
NHS England's plan for getting the basics right for resident doctors asked every trust to cut payroll errors caused by rotations by at least 90% by March 2026. By April, they'd fallen by 51.5%, so about half of them are still happening.
What the Rota and Payslip Checker includes
It's built for resident doctors (junior doctors) in England, and has these 6 main features:

- Advanced salary payslip breakdowns. Gross pay composition, where every pound goes, your deductions and pay per period, all from your own rota.
- Save every breakdown. Each rotation, its rota and every payslip you check are saved to your account, so next month is one field to fill in rather than a fresh start.
Doctors have already been using it
Before this announcement, doctors were already using it behind the scenes. One of them found their rota and their work schedule didn't match, and it had cost them a full day's pay every month.
